I think Kate did have a baby before the crash. When she questioned Miles she wanted to know what he knew about her. I think she wanted to know if they knew about her son. Also the woman watching the son while she was gone had said how much he missed her. They made a point to say that. She wasnt in prison that long. Also the mother said Dr had only given her 4 years to live. Kate saw mother just before that. Baby looked about three. It always bring back to same question if you were wanted in the states would you want to go back or play house with Sauer on the island. She had to have a reason to go home and the way she looked at Claire it seemed she already had a baby.

The Baby Kate Had In The States Was Named Arron Which I Believe Is Claire's Baby From The Island. Either Claire Died On The Island Or Since She Was Staying On The Island She Wanted Her Baby To Have A Good Life So She Gave Arron To Kate To Raise.Posted 03-02-2008 at 04:15 AM by twins354

Well that is an interesting reason for why Kate wanted off the island. THAT would make the most sense but only time will tell. I wish that I could travel in time and go two years ahead and see the final episode of this series! LOL Wouldn't that be cool!?!

It's So Confusing But It Makes Sense That Kate Did Have Her Own Baby. I Thought It Strange That The Baby Had The Same Name As Claire's. Thank God I Tivo This Show For Me And My Hubby. We Have To Rewind All The Time Because You Can Miss So Much.

Yeah, I think Aaron is definety Claire's baby. Remember the argument Kate got into with Jack when he told her that "he wasn't even her's"?
