Lost Predictions: Origin of Island
Background
I have watched a few documentaries on the Lost City of Atlantis and on the Bermuda triangle and the Asian triangle and I believe it is the origin of the Lost story. A correlation and mixture of these ancient stories which has been lately expressed by Atlantian and Bermuda Triangle researchers.
History
The story of Atlantis was none other than described by the famous philosopher and Historian Plato in 360 BC. Lost has an affiliation for philosophy and philosphers and this bears out with the origin of the Island and the story as well. If you think Perfect Society and Lost strike a cord there is also a reason. In Platos account of Timaeus and Critias, Socrates mused about the "perfect society", and the politicians Critias goes on to describe Atlantis as the example. According to Critias, the Hellenic gods of old divided the land so that each god might own a lot; In another words, the island was divided between gods. Sound familar....it should.
The Egyptians, Plato asserted, described Atlantis as an island comprising mostly mountains in the northern portions and along the shore, and encompassing a great plain of an oblong shape in the south "extending in one direction three thousand stadia [about 555 km; 345 mi], but across the center inland it was two thousand stadia [about 370 km; 230 mi]." Fifty stadia [9 km; 6 mi] from the coast was a mountain that was low on all sides...broke it off all round about[6]... the central island itself was five stades in diameter [about 0.92 km; 0.57 mi].[7] Refer to the Lost map as this pretty much fits the description of our island with the Airplane crashing on the western side of the shore plain. Between the coast and the mountain lown on all side to the south east is where Jacobs Statue is erected.
On the island, the mountain was carved into a palace (or Temple) and enclosed it with three circular moats of increasing width, varying from one to three stadia and separated by rings of land proportional in size.
Take a look at the dharma logo and you will see these 3 concentric moats depicted in the actual image of the group.
I will blog later as to why these concentric circles are slightly different than you would imagine for complete moats.
The location of Atlantis has never been known exactly. It has been said to be located close to the Staits of Gilbralter. And this location is consistent with the location of Tunisia.

A wormhole exists betweeen the Lost island (Old Atlantis) on one side and Tunisia on the other side. One side is anchored and the other side is free floating. The energy coming from the core of the island that is the source of the anomolies and properties of the island is from an ancient power supply that once existed upon on the island. This power supply became defective during a massive EarthQuake. This power supply was highly advanced and beyond our current technology level as is the contruction of the pyramids today.
Once upon a time, this island existed in our universe and the ancient Atlantian culture lived on there. During that time it was called Atlantis. The people of Atlantis were actually ancient Egyptians. There are references within Egyptian hieroglyphics speaking of Atlantis and referring to it as the Land of the West. As has been stated, the island was said to be near Tunisia and the straits of Hercules. However, the island suffered a terrible earthquake and the power supply was damaged as a result. When the power supply became defective it created the worm hole and it thrust the island into another dimension on one side anchored to our dimension and universe on the other side.

Summary:
I don't think the island is magically at all.
I think the island has a completely scientific explanation for its existence. Its on one end of a wormhole trapped between our universe and its existence. That wormhole occured because of a massive EM field effect generated from an old advanced energy system on the island by its prior occupants that partially failed. Its failure, created the wormhole and somewhat trapped these individuals or created these individuals on the island. These two individuals are from an advanced race of people that use to live during the old Egyptian and Atlantian time periods.
