I believe they are spirits, demons, angels, ect. and of course there are the "overactive imagination" folks as well. Am I a believer? You bet your arse I am.
And yet, for the people who are haunted, they still are unable to prove to anyone outside that it's actually happening. I mean real proof. Why is that?

well, not sure about no proof. Is there an example you have in mind? Are you saying that no-one out there that is "haunted" is able to prove directly or inderectly that they are in fact haunted? I personally believe that there are those that hurt themselves and those that are truly haunted. Not sure if there is a way to actually prove that or not....but when you are in a situation and the hair all over your body stands up and your get goose bumps, or feel completely terrified, can't move, ect....thats proof enopugh for me!

But this feeling of freight can be attained from a cheesy horror movie. Do the good ol' blow-up-and-pop-a-paper-bag-behind-someone's-head and you'll get a moment of terror from that person.

These are certainly no proof of anything supernatural.

But yes. People who seem to be haunted and have these strange occurances "follow" them around should be able to prove it rather easily, I would think. But they cannot. So, the most logical thing to think is there is nothing supernatural happening at all, and their exeperiences are due to any number of other, rational, reasons.

I saw my skinny sister Jackie lightly place the tips her fingers on the end of an 8ft long heavy oak dining table and cause the other end of it to lift off the floor. She could and did do this any time she wanted to. She did it with dozens of skeptics watching on many occasions. Lots of burly guys tried to do it and couldn't budge the thing. How could I prove that to you? She proved it to the people who happened to be around at the time but anyone who wasn't there isn't going take this as proof. To anyone who chooses not to believe me there's no way for me to prove it.

How could I prove any of the things i witnessed?

Okay I had to come back to this thread. Some of you know that I'm living with my sister Shelly. Have been for over three years now. We haven't lived in the same house since about 1971. I always believed that she was kind of a magnet for some of the creepy stuff I recounted in my original post, since I've never had anything weird happen to me since then.

The other night I went out for a bit. Shelly was home when I left but was in the back room so she didn't see me leave. When I came back in she gave me a strange look and asked when I had left. I told about an hour ago. She said that just a few minutes before a man in a white tee-shirt had come out my room and stood in the doorway, looked at her then went back in my room closing the door behind him. She was watching a movie on her laptop so she didn't look up, just saw it in her peripheral vision and thought it was me.

Yikes!

I had a lot of things happen to me in the house I lived in before this one...and several witnesses. Since moving in 2008 I have had no experiences at all here. I have had Eve say a few things about people humming in her room etc...but nothing personally.

I did see a psychic not so long ago (my sister invited one to her house so I went around with my cynical pants on) and she told me I had an old woman from the salvation army with me lol and that I wasnt done having my family yet and she saw a son. Which made me laugh as I knew Dale was about a week away from having the snip. However, about 7 weeks after seeing this psychic....Dale and I split!! :-/

That's a very scary story. Did he still get snipped? I'm trembling.
