OK so I'm watching now and the first thing I wonder is why were they chasing him Charly around the plane. I know he was acting agitated but maybe he's just a bad flyer. I don't think there's any hidden meaning to it but it seems odd.
Why was the battery so low in the transciever?
Hi, Boutte! Nice to see you! I didn't think anything was up with the Charlie chase - just the obvious, that he was ACTING like an addict, and she wanted him to sit down, especially since something was amiss in the cockpit.

Boutte, have you any idea just how Sayid drew the deduction, and so quickly, that Danielle's message was on a loop for 16 yrs? I'm no mathmetition but I don't think ANYONE could deduce that...
Still, Sayid's a good one to have around when it comes to tech savey stuff, booby traps, and the like...

HA! Yes, he is at that!
Boutte, could you do that equation?
Yeah, but not in my head while I'm having a coversation.
I'm watching this at same time I'm posting and noticed that when every one else hauled ass when the bear attacked Sawyer didn't even flinch. He's either very brave or has (had) a death wish.
Boutte, remember you had recently suggested a thread for "WOW" moments?
Why don't you post that? Watching the shows over again makes me remember the heart pumping, gasping moments we all loved so much, and the first season really started them out with a bang! Or a WOW! lol
When I re-watched the pilot being snatched out of the topof the plane, I recalled the first time and saying out loud, "WHAT WAS THAT?!"

Yes! When I rewatched that one, I had wished I'd mentioned that to whomever it was who told me I was being too hard on Sawyer's first half of LOSTIE life. Reviewing this, I do think this was an act of bravery, not part of his death wish. These are little odds and ends I'd forgotten about. He wasn't all that bad, I guess.
Did you know that when they casted the characters, they were going to have Josh Holloway be Jack and Matthew Fox be Sawyer?

I was actually thinking that very thing. The bear was difinitely a Wow moment. Locke and the one side light and one side dark wasn't so much of a Wow but it certainly resonates as a very significant one. Was he allready beginning to get some kind of a vibe? Obviously he knew that something special was happening because he could suddenly walk again. Jack, Charly and Kate had run across the monster so they knew something unusual was on the Island but no hint of good and evil forces.
You really could do an equation like that, Boutte? wow. funny how brains work - I could answer a lot about biological science but I can barely balance my checkbook!
Sorry - back to epi 2 ... I had been wondering if there may have been something up with the pilot once they introduced Frank... but this guy just seems like an ordinary Joe, doesn't he to you?
Would you like me to stop talking so you can watch? I'm sorry if I'm not doing this right.
